Breaking the Social Contract

Is there any social contract or have been? Or what is the contextualized base for it, nowadays?
The questions for me are very much related how ethics of commitment is built and where the resistance lasts?

The starting point of this interview is Simon Critchley’s book Infinitely Demanding in which he is neatly building an argument on an ethics as anarchic meta-politics. In this interview, philosopher, writer Simon Critchley talks about active and passive nihilism, the political (ab)uses of religion, and why football is so important. Read at e-flux journal.
